Carrier control titrations

Description

Most nonpolar compounds need to be diluted in organic solvents such as DMSO or acetonitrile to use them for the titrations in the SUIT protocols. However, the solvent (carrier) itself could affect the mitochondrial physiology and promote alterations that need to be taken into account. For this reason, in parallel to the treatment experiment, a control experiment should be conducted where only the solvent is titrated. This "carrier control titration" test will determine if the solvent alone affects the sample.
