Boltzmann constant

Description

Table Physical constants.png

The Boltzmann constant k has the SI unit [JĀ·K-1] (IUPAC), but more strictly the units for energy per particles per temperature is [JĀ·x-1Ā·K-1].

k = fĀ·e-1, the electrochemical constant f times the elementary charge e.

k = RĀ·NA-1, the gas constant R divided by the Avogadro constant NA.

Abbreviation: k [JĀ·x-1Ā·K-1]

Reference: Bureau International des Poids et Mesures 2019 The International System of Units (SI)
