P-L control efficiency

Description

The P-L coupling control factor, ΔjP-L, is related to the respiratory acceptor control ratio, RCR, if State 3 is equivalent to the OXPHOS state, measured at saturating [ADP]; ΔjP-L is 1.0 for a fully coupled system (when RCR approaches infinity), and is 0.0 for a system with zero DT-phosphorylation capacity (when L<E) or a fully uncoupled system (when L=P=E; and RCR=1).

Abbreviation: CCFP-L , ΔjP-L

Reference: Flux control factor

MitoPedia methods: Respirometry

MitoPedia topics: "Respiratory control ratio" is not in the list (Enzyme, Medium, Inhibitor, Substrate and metabolite, Uncoupler, Sample preparation, Permeabilization agent, EAGLE, MitoGlobal Organizations, MitoGlobal Centres, ...) of allowed values for the "MitoPedia topic" property.
