• Contributions to the section "Scientific Communications" (working title) of Oroboros Lett are fully citable, with a DOI number in the format:

Preprint or publication

• Contributions to the section "Scientific Communications" of Oroboros Lett are not peer reviewed; or reviewers are listed as coauthors and declared as such in the section 'Author contributions'. Contributions may be updated with version numbers, each with a new DOI version number, such that each version remains Open Access.
• This format is a next step of preprint strategies beyond preprints: remove the distinction between preprint and publication entirely - all preprints are publications and all publications are preprints. Whereas 'MitoFit Preprint Archives' remains a classical preprint server, "Scientific Communications" of Oroboros Lett considers the distinction between preprints and publications as obsolete - a historical left-over derived mainly from for-profit journals and journals operated in traditional formats by non-profit societies.

• Only preprints (with DOI) will be added with the publication template (Support pages - Add reference) to the Oroboros Lett page.
• Additional labels: Add a label Oroboros Lett YYYY.# where YYYY is the year and # is the volume number.

• MiPNet publications are O2k manuals etc.
• Oroboros Letters will include short scientific communications that are not ready for a MitoFit Preprint (e.g. SUIT protocols, etc).

• Write the DLD file name in the table/figure legends.
• The DLD files that are shown or used in figures/tables will be copied into the publication subdirectory.
