'''Mitochondrial respiration medium:'''
ย
A mitochondrial respiration medium is designed to support optimum mitochondrial function in the actual respirometric measurement. In some cases alterations of the formulation are incorporated to allow for the simultaneous measurement of additional parameters by e.g. fluorescence detection. From the many media used by various groups the composition of 3 examples is shown:

Towards the MiR05-Kit

Powder mix to transport Medium easily: (information provided by Cathrine Le)
Regarding the "powder mix:" I brought up mixes of BIOPS and MiR06, both according to your recipes. I mixed the dry chemicals of the BIOPS in a 1L nalgene bottle and added the stock liquids of both CaK2EGTA and K2EGTA during pH'ing.
Additionally, I did the same for the MiR06. All dry chemicals were mixed in a 1L nalgene bottle with the exclusion of lactobionic acid which was stored separately/dry and made when we needed to make the MiR06.
Both mixed powders for the MiR06 and BIOPS seem to do alright. I did try to keep them cold throughout transport, i.e. on ice.
