Chief scientific officer (CSO)

The CSO will integrate the research activites of the OROBOROS Mitochondrial Research Laboratory with the company's initiatives on technological and organizational innovations, and will manage the quality control in the research laboratory. The CSO will monitor the scientific priorities of the OROBOROS research team to support the corporate identidy focussed on Open Innovation in line with our explicit concept on corporate social responsibility. Leadership is expected in basic and applied research projects. Requirements for the CSO are a doctoral-level degree (PhD), a postdoctoral track record, and significant research and management experience. Specific knowledge is required in bioenergetics and mitochondrial physiology. Among the core responsibilities, the CSO will be involved in publications for scientific journals, the OROBOROS website, grant writing and fundraising. The CSO will play a leading role in representing the company at scientific conferences, in scientific workshops, technical training courses and marketing activities.

Oroboros SPIN collaboration: PhD position

SPIN - PhD programme for the training of a young researcher with the aim to investigate the role of mitochondrial function and microRNAs in neuroregeneration.
