Beryllium sulfate

Description

Beryllium sulfate is used in combination with sodium fluoride to form beryllium trifluoride (BeF3−), to inhibit the ATP synthase if it is exposed by disruption of the mitochondrial membranes.

Abbreviation: BeS

Application in HRR

BeS: (Beryllium sulfate; BeSO4), store at 4 °C, M = 177.14 g·mol-1
Preparation of 200 mM stock solution (dissolved in H2O)
  1. Weigh 354.3 mg.
  2. Dissolve in 10 mL distilled H2O under a fume hood.
  3. Divide in aliquots.
  4. Store at +4 °C;
