Hydroxybutyrate

Description

Ξ²-hydroxybutyrate or 3-hydroxybutyrate is a ketone body that can be used as a NADH-linked substrate. The Ξ²-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase produces acetoacetate while reducing NAD+ to NADH.
