| (1) Disassembling the O2k: Remove the glass chambers from the copper block, reversing the steps in the assembly instruction [http://www.oroboros.at/index.php?id=o2k-start [MiPNet12.06]]. Remove the [[Polarographic oxygen sensor]] ([[POS]], sensor head) from the [[POS connector]], remove the old membranes from the POS, clean the sensor head with water, allow to dry, store the sensor head and the membrane ring in its perspex vial (the ring slipped onto the shaft of the sensor [http://www.oroboros.at/index.php?id=o2k-pos-service [MiPNet08.04]]. Re-attach the POS connectors (without sensor) and the [[Chamber holder for PVDF stopper|chamber holder]] to the oxygraph but do not include [[Chamber O2k|glass chambers]] and [[POS]]. (This is the same state as when the O2k was delivered, as described in [http://www.oroboros.at/index.php?id=o2k-start [MiPNet12.06]].

| (2) Packing the O2k: Use the original packing material (the foam inlets and [[O2k box 1]]). Only this packing material provides sufficient protection during transport. If the original packing material is no longer available, it has to be ordered from OROBOROS INSTRUMENTS and shipped to the customer before shipping the O2k. If the [[polarographic oxygen sensor]]s have to be inspected also, they should be sent disassembled and protected in the perspex vials, attached for example with a tape to the O2k. The glass chambers should be kept and not sent with the O2k.

| (3) Import/Export declaration:
| |
| There is the possibility to avoid that you pay import tax again (as you have paid that when first imported), when the instrument is being returned to your home country. This is a little bit of paperwork, but still might we worth while. If you would like to do so, then you would have to ask your carrier to issue an export/import certificate (this allows a tax free import/export from your home country to Austria and vice versa within a certain time). Please also contact your shipping agent for any specific rules applying to „shipping for repairs“ from your home country to the European Union.

| (4) Value of goods:

| The customs declaration value of the instrument for the customs should be declared as Euro 5000,- (or equivalent in your currency).

| (5) Courier
| |
| If your institution has a customer account at a courier, it is best to use this one.
| |
| If an import certificate had been issued, we are obliged to use the same carrier as you did, meaning we can't use our own carrier. Therefore the return shipment would have to be charged to your account at the courier.
