Glucose

Description

Glucose, also known as D-glucose or dextrose, is a monosaccharide and an important carbohydrate in biology. Cells use it as the primary source of energy and a metabolic intermediate.

Abbreviation: Glc

Reference: MiPNet15.09. Yeast: HRR Reference Assay

Application in HRR

Glc: Glucose (D-(+)-Glucose, C6H1206); Sigma G 8270, 100 g, store at RT; FW = 180.16

Preparation of 2 M stock solution (dissolved in H2O):
  1. weigh 360.32 mg of Glucose
  2. dissolve 1 mL H2O in 1.5 mL Eppendorf
