O2k-Fluo LED2-Module
| Description | The O2k-Fluorescence LED2-Module is a modular extension of the O2k-Core, adding a new dimension to HRR. Optical probes are inserted through the front window of the O2k-glass chambers, for measurement of hydrogen peroxide production (Amplex red), ATP production (Mg green), mt-membrane potential (Safranin), Ca2+ (Ca green), and numerous other applications open for O2k-user innovation. It is an amperometric add-on module to the O2k-Core. |

Components: O2k-Fluorescence LED2-Module
The O2k-Fluorescence LED2-Module consists of optical probes for both O2k-Chambers (LEDs for green and blue excitation), optical filters, front fixation of the optical probes to the glass windows of the O2k-Chambers, electronic control of light intensity, data input into the O2k-Main Unit (two amperometric sockets), and the new DatLab software.
- 2 Fluorescence sensors per chamber (4 in total), green and blue excitation with photodiode and filters suitable for the applications specified above.
- 1 Electronic Current Control for regulation of light intensity with attached Front Fixation for fluorescence sensors to O2k-glass chamber
- 1 O2k-Window Tool for removing the blue O2k-Windows
- 1 Registration fee waived for the O2k-Fluorometry Workshop.

The first series of the O2k-Fluorescence LED2-Module will be completed by beginning of April 2012, and will be delivered in April 2012, for orders received by end of January 2012.

Upgrading the Oxygraph-2k
- The O2k-Core fully supports the O2k-Fluorescence LED2-Module. Two black PEEK stoppers (with single central titration port) are included in the O2k-Fluorescence Module, if not already delivered with the O2k-Core.
- The Oxygraph-2k, Series D and E, requires the O2k-MultiSensor electronic upgrading. The O2k-MultiSensor system fully supports the O2k-Fluorescence LED2-Module. Two black PEEK stoppers (with single central titration port) are included in the O2k-Fluorescence Module.
- The Oxygraph-2k, Series A to C, can be equipped with a O2k-Fluorescence LED1-Module upon request. However, for best performance we recommend to use an O2k Series D and above. If an Oxygraph-2k, Series A to C, is equipped with an O2k-Fluorescence LED1-Module only one chamber can be used when measuring simultaneously fluorescence and respiration. The other chamber cannot be used for oxygen measurements during fluorescence experiments, but both chambers can still be used for standard respiration experiments (no fluorescence). The O2k-MultiSensor electronic upgrading is NOT required to use the O2k-Fluorescence LED1-Module for O2k Series A to C. The O2k-Fluorescence LED1-Module for use with O2k Series A to C includes:
- 2 Fluorescence sensors for one chamber, green and blue emission with photodiode and filters
- 1 Electronic Current Control for regulation of light intensity
- 1 Front Fixation for fluorescence sensors to O2k-glass chamber
- 1 Preamplification box.
- 1 black PEEK stoppers (with single central titration port)
- 1 Registration fee waived for the O2k-Fluorometry Workshop.
